The VRVET project is featured in the technical paper Innovative
Training Resources for Welding Education: Integrating Digital Platforms,
Industrial Needs and Immersive Learning, which examines how innovative
learning approaches are transforming vocational education and training in the
welding sector.
The publication highlights VRVET's work in developing immersive Virtual Reality learning environments for welding inspection,
integrated with a digital learning platform and validated through Train-the-Trainers activities. The paper also presents the
positive usability results achieved during the project, demonstrating the potential
of immersive technologies to enhance learner engagement and trainer adoption.
Together with Skills4EII and INSPIRE,
VRVET demonstrates how digital innovation and pedagogically sound learning
environments can contribute to a more resilient and future-ready welding education
ecosystem.
The presentation delivered at the IIW Annual Assembly,
highlighting the main findings of the paper, is available below. The full paper will
be published on this page as soon as it becomes available.
